MARTHA STURDY TO OPEN DESIGNER SHOWROOM IN VANCOUVER - DEC 2005
Granville Street retail location to close
Vancouver, BC, Canada
December 14, 2005
Martha Sturdy's next big creative undertaking isn't a new collection of art or a new line of home accessories; it's planning for and building an exclusive new designer showroom and retail store near her head office in Vancouver. With the opening of the new showroom in early 2006 comes the close of Martha's Granville Street retail gallery.
"The new space will better meet the needs of our growing international clientele as well as offer a retail store for our local customers," says Sturdy. "We recognize that people will miss the Granville retail showcase, but assure our customers they will still have access to the pieces they want."
Adds Sturdy, "We would like to extend a big thank you to our Granville Street customers who have been so loyal to us over the years. We appreciate your business and look forward to seeing you at our new store."
The new location will be a spacious and contemporary 1200 sq. ft. space that features samples of Martha's art, sculptures, accessories and furniture, as well as a selection of signature pieces available for sale to the public. The new format will allow designers and corporate buyers to browse inventory, look at colour samples and work with a sales professional-or Martha Sturdy directly-to place a custom order.
