		<description><![CDATA[April 15, 2011 - Martha Sturdy is set to unveil a sophisticated new resin design at the International Contemporary Furniture Show in New York on May 17, 2011. The solid resin sectional is designed with castors so pieces can be arranged into endless seating possibilities. Inspired by the peaceful elegance and bold simplicity of her new design, Martha created two new works of art to showcase with the sectional. A resin on steel diptych wall sculpture and a curvilinear brass sculpture perfectly compliment the luxurious collection.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[November 1, 2010 - A towering sculpture measuring over 17 feet made its debut at the 100% design show in Tokyo Japan. Weighing over 2 tons and made of logs and steel, the sculpture it is a reflection of Martha Sturdy's admiration for the forests of British Columbia. By nature of the materials and process used to create the sculpture, the piece has a powerful connection to the Earth. Martha’s artwork is created in Pemberton where her farm and horses provide a balance from which she can reflect and create artwork.]]></description>

Pecha Kucha brings together Vancouver's culturally minded to enjoy an hour and a half of inspiration, viewpoints and ideas on creativity, culture and design by our City's own cultural makers. 

At the event, Martha surprised and wowed the audience with a glimpse into her personal inspirations and passions that have yielded her celebrated artwork and designs by introducing a <strong>NEW LANDSCULPTURE PROJECT</strong> that she is working on at her Farm in Pemberton.]]></description>
